Atish has given a number of solo performances all over India and also in abroad since 2006 including successful participation in different National and International music festivals. Some of the countries are the USA, Russia, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, etc.
Atish has been awarded titles like 'Surmani' and 'Sangeet Sadhak' in India for his outstanding dedication and elegance in music.
As the first Indian musician, he has been awarded the prestigious 'Nikolai Rubinstein Medal' from Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky State Music Conservatory on the 10th anniversary of a regular North Indian Classical Music course that he launched in 2012.
Atish’s passion for experimentation, study, and appreciation of non-Indian music and his love of intercultural musical collaboration make him a strong representative of a new generation of Indian musicians. He worked on different cross-cultural music projects. He also volunteered for the Ukrainian project “Children of War: Invisible Wounds” funded by the European Union and released a music CD for therapeutic purposes.
Over the last 17 years, Atish has conducted 400+ music workshops, lecture demonstrations, and educational programs across the globe including the University of Pennsylvania- USA, Panjab University -India, Rimsky Korsakov State Music Conservatory - Russia, P. I Tchaikovsky State Music Conservatory - Russia, Alliance Française de Dhaka - Bangladesh to name a few.
Atish is also one of the founder members, course coordinator, and faculty at the Aashish Khan School of World Music in Kolkata.
