Ahsan Zulkernaeen Niloy presents Drupad Vocal Recital

Ahsan Zulkernaeen Niloy was born and brought up in Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was initiated into music by his father Ashraf Uddin Ahmed at the age of 4. Later on he received taalim from Ustad Mustaqur Rahman (Agra Gharana), Abdullah Al Mamun (Rabindra Sangeet), Shri Ashit dey (Indore-Kirana Gharana), Shri Sujit Mustafa (Indore-Kirana Gharana). Since January 2014, he has been learning Dhrupad (Dagar Vanee) from world famous Dhrupad maestros Padma Shree Pandit Umakant Gundecha & Pandit Ramakant Gundecha (Gundecha Brothers).
   Awards & Achievements
1st prize in Khayal singing (2009) in Inter College National Cultural
Festival, Dhaka;

1st prize in the national television competition, ‘NotunKurhi’ in the year
2004, awarded by the Prime-minister of Bangladesh

1st prize in 2005 on the yearly occasion ‘National Rabindrasangeet
Summit’, awarded by the departed cultural icon Wheedul Huq.
