Mukund Dev Sahoo

Mukund has been learning and performing Dhrupad under the guidance of Padma Shri Gundecha Brothers (www.dhrupad.org), world’s most renowned exponents of Dhrupad today from Dagar Gharana. He received his formal education in Hindustani music from Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneshwar. During this time, he received personal guidance and advanced training from Guru Shri Bijayananda Nayak (Gwalior Gharana) . After his B. Mus., he moved to Mumbai University to complete his M. Mus. and spent 3 years with the world renowned Guru, 'Rasadas' Pt. Arun Kashalkar (Agra Gharana). Mukund has had the opportunity to demonstrate his unique musical versatility by blending a variety of musical styles including Dhrupad, Agra Gharana and Gwalior Gharana. 

Mukund has also performed as a vocal accompanist on many prominent stages with Padma Shri Gundecha Brothers and Pandit Arun Kashalkar.

Mukund Dev performed duet with dhrupad music and flamenco dance with world renowned flamenco dancer Marisol Valderrama Guerrero.
