Biography

Arunasish Roy is a Singer and Music composer having multifaceted personality. He is learning Hindustani Classical Music and Light Classical Music (Ghazal, Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan, Raagpradhan, Nazrulgeeti & Semi Classicals) under the guidance of his father Sri. Basudev Roy from the tender age. He is also learning Rabindra Sangeet from Sri Prabudhha Raha. In addition to that he has got taleem in Modern Bengali Songs from Sri Goutam Ghoshal.

Career

He is an International performer, performing globally & in almost all the Leading TV Channels of Bengal.

He is working as a Music Director in many Mega Bengali Serials like- Raashi, Raaikishori, Badhubaran, Iraboti'r Chupkotha, Ardhangini, Deep Jwele Jayi, etc. Also working as a Composer & Lyricist in many Basic & Independent Songs of Eminent Artistes.

Working as a Music Teacher at 'Pancham Music Academy' (reg. no: 711), from October, 2005 – till date.

He has taken Workshops at 'Anubhab Academy' (Cologne, Germany), from 1st March 2012 to 26th July, 2012.

Got The National Scholarship from India Govt. (Ministry of Culture) in “Light Classical” genre in the year 2011 (by singing Ghazal & Thumri)

Stood 2^nd in All India Radio Competition in “Light Classical” genre in the year 2009 (by singing Bhajan)

ICCR Empanelled Artist in the field of “Ghazal” in the year 2017

Got the ‘First Class First’ position in M.A Vocal Music, R.B.U

Won many prizes in different other Music Competitions

Has been selected as the only Artiste from West Bengal to perform in "Jagjit Singh Music Festival" held in Mumbai, 2016
