Shirish Joshi

Shirish is the disciple of late Pandit Vinayak rao Phadke of Ashtewale Gharana (Indore Beenkar Gharana) . He was trained in Sitar for 8 years under “Guru Shishya” tradition and was exposed to life long experience of Phadke ji. Under his able guidance he has mastered the specialty of the Gharana and while performing, follows the purity and melody of Raag. He is equally good in performing light classical music on Sitar .He was also trained by Shri Pramod Bapat on intricacies of stage performance. He is a mechanical engineer and spends his most of the time in experimenting and teaching the classical music. He has performed in lot of Music programs and accompanied musical groups on Sitar and is based in Pune.
