Sulekha ji Bhat is an ardent devotee of Indian Classical Music. She is desciple of Veedushi Veena Saharabudhhe. Sulekha ji has well succeded in adopting the unique style of vocal rendering of her guru.
Sulekha ji is an “A” grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan. She is also an empanneled artist of ICCR.
Sulekha ji is known for her systemetic Swar Vistara and Khuli Gayki. The master of vibrant and commanding voice Sulekha ji has enthrilled the audience with her melodius rendering in various music concerts all over the country .
Some of her students has taken scholarship from CCRT under her guidece. Dept. of Culture Governement of MP and UDC has bestowed on her their prestigious Vikramaditya Samman. Apart for this She has been awarded Putturaj Gaan Maharshi Samman, SurMani Mumbai, Sur Ratna Raipur, Brahapati Samman Chandigarh, Abinav Kala Samman Bhopal and many more for excellence in Classical Music.
She has been continuously performing for last 25 years.
