Surmani Madhavi Nanal is a devoted singer of classical music, Marathi Natya Sangeet, and Bhakti Sangeet. She is a well-known artist of Radio Mumbai and television, having given numerous performances across Mumbai and various parts of India. As a governing council member of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai, and the former Chief Editor of the musical magazine Sangeet Kalavihar, she has significantly contributed to the field of music education and research.
Madhavi has conducted extensive research on Maa Saraswati (Goddess of Music) and Saint Mira Bai, and has written several papers on educational subjects related to music. Her work includes research and performance of bhajans from Asharam Bhajanawali (Sabarmati Ashram - Mahatma Gandhi) and the composition of numerous Hindi and Marathi bhajans. Additionally, she has arranged various demonstrations and workshops for music teachers and students, sharing her knowledge and passion for music.
