Rajesh Datar - a classical, semi classical and light music singer started his musical education under the able hand training from Guru Pandit Shri. Dattopant Agashe, Pandit Shri. Manoharpant Dabke, Pandit Shri. Ram Mate and Pandit Shri. Madhusudan Patwardhan and completed Sangeet Visharad with Distinction and first number.
He has successfully given more than 2500 public performances in Pune and all over India and abroad for classical, semi-classical and Sugam Sangeet.
Mr. Datar has performed on all T.V.Channels and F.T.I. Programmes - Pune. He has appeared in programmes like Surtaal /Geet Gopal/Geet Ramayan and Nakshatranche Dene - on Zee Marathi, Jeevan Gane on ETV Marathi, Maze Gane on DD 10 National Channel Sahyadri TV and Sam Channels.
To encourage the amateur artists or professionals and to conduct Classes and Courses for the development of Indian Cultural Activities i.e. Classical, semi-classical and Sugam Sangeet for the propagation of INDIAN CULTURE and various types of Indian folk music, he has formed ANAHAT ART ACADEMY, a Public Charitable Trust, which is involved in various Social activities in Pune.
Shri. Datar has got his own set-up i.e. RAJKALYAN STUDIO, a Multi-track Digital Audio Studio and he is engaged as a creative Music Director in creating and directing New Productions for Classical, Semi-Classical, Bhakati Sangeet, Bhajan, Filmy, Non-Filmy, and folk Songs. And he is also engaged in singing Audio Cassettes, Albums, Film Songs, National Integrity Songs etc.
He is a Founder Member and President of 'Sarvotkarsh' (Trust) which is specifically formed for promotion of Indian Classical, Semi-Classical, Folk, Filmy and Non-Filmy Music. From various languages to achieve National Unity and Integrity by the way of Music.
