To be born in musical family as her father used to play sitar, she started her fundamental music lessons under the guidance of Sangeet alankar Smt.Prema Sabne, for five years. Then she has received “talim” from well- known vocalist Surmani Pandita Sheela Joshi, disciple of Padmavibhushan Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar, in a Guru Shishya discipline for eighteen years who deciphers her about the ultimate “Rasa vichar” in Hindustani Classical music, which is the great contribution of Kishoritai. Systematic exposition of the raga structure, brilliant phrasing, variety of taan patterns, ease and grace in all of the three octaves mark her singing. She has undertaking advanced training from Dr. Arun Dravid, sciniormost disciple of Smt. Kishoritai Amonkar.
Cultural Dept. of Govt.of India has awarded her with two years Junior Fellowship for the research in the subject “The fundamental principles of Indian classical music, a path towards the ultimate peace”. two years scholarship by the Cultural Dept. of Govt. of India. “Ganwardhan” Punes Kusumtai Hasbnis Puraskar and Pt. T.D.Janorikar Puraskar for the vocal music. Brahmman Sabha, Punes “Balgandharva” Award Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad has awarded her for her music contribution . Doordarshan Mumbai has broadcasted her special interview in the year of 2013 on her music journey.
She is a Sangeet Alankar of Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahamandal. Stationed at Mumbai, she has done Electronics engineering. She owns Darbari Indian Classical music institute in Navi Mumbai from last 6 years. In which she also gives online music lesssons to her students in India and abroad.
