Abhangrang by Rewa Natu

   Biography
The Bhakti tradition that took root in Maharashtra four hundred years ago continues unbroken till today not only through the teachings of saints and through pilgrimages and rituals but also through Abhangs or devotional songs sung in the praise of the Lord.
Written by Sant Shreshti as of Maharashtra like Sant Dnyaneshwar, Sant Tukaram and Sant Namdev to name a few, they have also been sung and presented by the best of India’s Classical music pantheon. Abhangrang presents a few of these gems, made famous by Pr. Bhimsen Joshi. Pt. Vasantrao Deshpande, Pr. Jitendra Abhisheki, Smt. Kirshori Amonkar and other doyens of Indian classical music.
Dr. Rewa Natu (eminent Classical vocalist) will present a repertoire of soulful Abhangs that will immerse the audience in Bhakti rasa and the magic of swar and taal .
The experience will be further enriched by a compilation of beautiful visuals related to the theme
