Naresh Madgaonkar presents IndoJazz band

The very talented Naresh Madgaonkar has music running through his veins. Holding a Master’s degree specializing in Santoor, he is a disciple of Padmashree Pt. Satish Vyas from Mumbai. At the early age of 8 when most children his age were busy playing, he was initiated and groomed in the art of playing Hindustani Classical Music on the Harmonium by Pt. Rajendra Singbal at the Swar Srungar Music Academy in Mapusa, Goa. His attraction towards the Santoor was a direct result of listening to the renowned maestro Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma. His desire to learn this instrument only grew in intensity even though there were no teachers in Goa teaching the Santoor. Naresh Madgaonkar pursued his higher musical education at the Kala Academy in Goa where he was trained by Dr. Sudhanshu Kulkarni from Belgaum.He also received valuable guidance from Dr. Dhananjay Daitankar(Pune). Naresh holds a Commerce degree specializing in Economics. Along with his brother Satish Madgaonkar (tabla), he has given more than 2500 performances over the past 27 years.
