Ganhira Deepa Paradkar Sathe was born into a family of musicians, being the granddaughter of classical musician Pt. Rajarambua Paradkar and the daughter of Pt. Shripad Paradkar. She received classical training from esteemed vocalists such as Shri Shripad Paradkar, Shri Ajitkumar Kadkade, and Smt. Shubhada Paradkar.
Deepa Sathe is a visiting professor of music at SNDT University Mumbai, where she teaches MA students. She is also an esteemed artist with All India Radio.
