Ravi Phadke (born in Akola) an Indian Classical Vocalist (Hindustani Classical Music), represents the new face of Indian classical musicians, who will take the art to newer heights. Having trained in Indian Classical Vocal Music for more than 25 years, Ravi also excels in other forms of music including Natya Sangeet, Ghazals, Bhajans and Bhavgeet.

Ravi’s training in Indian Classical started at a tender age of 3 years. His initial learning years were spent under the guidance of his Mother Mrs. Pradnya A Phadke for almost 12 - 15 years. Later, for few years, he took lessons from Pt. Vijay Koperkar.

His interest in vocal music reached a new height after he started getting lessons from Pandit Rajendra Kandalgaonkar of Kirana Gharana, disciple of Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi

He was awarded with Sangeet Visharad in First Class by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. He is also tranined in Natya Sangeet by singer-actress of Marathi musical theatre Jaymala Shiledar.

Ravi has many achievements to his credit. Some of them include award of Scholarship from Ministry of HRD, Department of Culture, New Delhi and Scholarship for advanced training in Indian Classical Vocal from Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, Pune. He won the final round of Alpha TV Marathi “Sa Re Ga Ma”, a famous singing competition, in the year 2001. Ravi has performed at various places throughout India, some of them include Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Faridabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Ratnagiri, Parbhani, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Udgir, etc.

Inspite of having trained in Kirana Gharana, Ravi is of the opinion to adopt the best from all Gharanas. In his opinion, “Listening to artists from various gharanas enriches the thought process and ultimately the performance”. Gifted with sweet voice and having trained for long time, Ravi manages to unfold the Raaga intellectually and at the same time giving a pleasing experience to the audience.
