Biography
Anannya Mahanta performs Sattriya Dance,one of the eight classical dance forms of India.She had the opportunity to perform on Srimanta Sankardev's 1st International Dance Festival where she performed BHAUNA(PARIJAT-HARAN) with a group from France (A BHAUNA IN FRENCH DIALECT) ORGANIZED BY Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in the year 2016. In the year 2013, she performed in Nritya Vaishakhi held aT Vizag. Apart from it she even had the opportunity to perform on many other platforms across India.Anannya's performance was highly appreciated by the audience at Ranga Pravesh,2008 organized by Rangayan(An academy of dance,theatre and music).

Hailing from Guwahati and born on 5th Nov,1996 ;Anannya Mahanta was brought up in a traditional Sattriya culture since she was 7 years old. She received her Diploma in Sattriya Dance at a very tender age from a prestigious institute name Rangayan(An academy of dance,theatre and music) under the guidance of Dr.Bhabananda Barbayan and 2016 Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee in Sattriya Dance Smt.Sharodi Saikia.She even completed her 'Gunin' in Sattriya Dance.At a very young age,Anannya was successful in establishing herself as a dancer. She is a Junior Scholarship holder under CCRT,Govt. of India. She is also a Senior Scholarship holder in the field of "Sattriya Dance" under Ministry of Culture,Govt. of India and a graded artist under Doordarshan Kendra,Guwahati. Anannya was awarded with the "India Star Passion Award" for the year 2019 for her contribution in that field by "India Star Book of Records".
