Biography
Hailing from Guwahati and born on 5th Nov,1996 ;Anannya Mahanta was brought up in a traditional Sattriya culture since she was 7 years old. She received her Diploma in Sattriya Dance at a very tender age from a prestigious institute name Rangayan(An academy of dance,theatre and music) under the guidance of Dr.Bhabananda Barbayan and 2016 Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee in Sattriya Dance Smt.Sharodi Saikia.She even completed her 'Gunin' in Sattriya Dance.At a very young age,Anannya was successful in establishing herself as a dancer. She is a Junior Scholarship holder under CCRT,Govt. of India. She is also a Senior Scholarship holder in the field of "Sattriya Dance" under Ministry of Culture,Govt. of India and a graded artist under Doordarshan Kendra,Guwahati. Anannya was awarded with the "India Star Passion Award" for the year 2019 for her contribution in that field by "India Star Book of Records".

Awards & Achievements
Anannya was awarded CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources and Training) scholarship in Sattriya Dance in the year 2009.Recently,she was awarded 'GRADE-B' Artist in Sattriya Dance organized by Prasar Bharti,Doordarshan Kendra(Guwahati). She is also a Senior Scholarship Holder in the field of Sattriya Dance under Ministry of Culture,Govt. of India.
