   Biography

Ankit Pahadiya with his troupe display the elements of this attractive discipline through its traditional context molding them with innovative and creative compositions some of the item they  perform the traditional versions of the dance that have been carried out for generation with few changes here and there yet others are complete modifications of the original versions that have been polished by guru Ji refining the movements and adding gestures facial expressions and even mudra to convey the message of shlokas or other narrative sources of the costumes of the characters played, also been revised in order to give them a more classical look fit for the Delhi or the international stage. they can perform on recorded music but always prefer the live sound of the dhol wanting to deliver Mayurbhanj Chhau at a higher performing level our reportories are varied and consist of group dances solos or duets.

Ankit Pahadiya – a young bright performer with the unique style. He displays the attractive technique based on the western ballet, eastern marital arts, particularly on Mayurbhanj dance from Orissa. This art form based on traditional martial art: warriors reproduce the martial movements in a most graceful way as a means of entertainment and celebration displaying the heroic array of attack and defense movements group dance .
Some of items he performes in pure traditional version. For others he gives the innovative viewing and creative compositions. Ankit Pahadiya learns the Mayurbhanj style since 2006 under the guidance of Guru Janmey Joy Sai Babu. He has been striving to promote and develop Chhau with the blessings of his Guru. He also got training from Guru Sadashiv Pradhan in Bhubaneshver and improve his knowledge in such centers for Chhau study as Rairangpur and Bariparda. 

As well he has an experience in Indian contemporary dance as a member of Bhoomika creative dance center (Mentors: Bharat Sharma and Tripura Kashyap) for three years.  

Ankit Pahadiya is a Mayurbhanj Chhau Dancer. His performing group and co artists are well trained under Guru Janmey Joy Sai Babu.The group artists are from different background, trained for national and international performances in classical and modern dance.

Martial art: The passionate warriors reproduce the martial movements in a most graceful way as a means of entertainment and celebration displaying the heroic array of attack and defence movements group dance. . Mayurbhanj Chhau free flowing movement and vibrant energy here nothing was contained but instead softly released sometimes slowly and sometimes vigorously and swiftly as a feather dancing in the breeze delighting in the entrancing cadence of the beat even when the faster part started the dancer maintained his inner lightness as he leaped and turned
