Sh. Surender Saxena is one of the pioneer and pillar of Shirdi Sai Bhajan Singing. Baba has gifted his son a melodious voice. His Bhajans has the essence of spiritualism and presence of Baba. His efforts and honesty towards Baba made him Dasganu. Spiritualism and faith in Baba are his main aspects through these aspects he turned himself into a good singer and importantly a good human being. At the age of 3, he sung his first song in public. Nobody must have thought that these small wings would fly so high.
Surender Saxena often impressed people in his school and colleges by his talent. He continued to perform right through his school days. He was born on 21 Sep in Aligarh .His Father Late Sh. A.V. Lal Saxena was a famous writer, singer, director and actor. That?s why he has music in his veins. After completing his degree in engineering he came to Delhi and started singing Gazals and songs on Doordarshan. Undoubtedly he become very famous as Gazal singer in very short spam of time. He used to perform all over India with his group . He got married on 4 December,1973 . At that time people compare him with Modh. Rafi Sahab, But Who whose what is in Sai Baba`s Heart. In 1977 he was in big trouble. It was like gold is being heated at extremely high temperature. Baba heated him like this so that a people will get a true Bhajan Singer. On one Thursday at 3:45 AM Baba came in his dream. Baba ordered him to stop singing Gazals, and start singing Bhajans. After that he started singing Sai Bhajans. And Now we all can see that Where is he. He declined so many good Gazal program offers . Singing Sai Baba Bhajan was his only motto of Life. People used to say that wherever Saxena Ji sings Bhajan`s, you can feel baba presence there. He is not only a Great Bhajan Singer, even a good writer also. He has written so many bhajans.
