   Biography
Nitisha Mondal was initiated into Kathak at the tender age of three. Having over 15 years of training in kathak under the eminent guidance of Jaipur Gharana maestro Pt. Rajendra Gangani, Nitisha has been performing widely in India and abroad. Among several achievements, Nitisha is a national level scholarship holder too. Other than Kathak, she had a brief training in Street Jazz and Indian Contemporary as well. Along with performing, she's quite a popular teacher/choreographer too for the past seven years. Her quest for learning, teaching and performing is never ending.

   Career
Nitisha Mondal has given a lot of performances in India and abroad. Some of her international performances: 'India By The Nile' festival in Egypt; 'Incredible India' from  ministry of culture and broadcasting, Govt. of India in Berlin, Germany., etc. In India, she has performed on various prestigious occasions like Commonwealth Games 2010, Jashn-e-Bachpan 2007 by National School of Drama, Duet Dance Festival 2011 by Raag Viraag Educational & Cultural Society, Jashn-e-Azaadi in 2014 by Government Of India, 'Dance Walk' 2013 at Habiat Center, New Delhi etc.  She  has attended a month long workshop with National School of Drama orgainsed by Nava Yuvak Bal Manch and film society. Also been a part of 10 day workshop at Hyderabad, orgainsed by CCRT for scholarship holders around the country in 2005.

Nitisha Mondal presents Jugalbandi - Bharatanatyam and Kathak collaboration

A Bharatnatyam and Kathak collaboration, Kathak recital by Nitisha Mondal and Neha Mondal Chakravarty. Nitisha presents fine Kathak nritta with abhinaya. Neha's clean Bharatanatyam technique to music excerpts catch the Shiva iconographic imagery. 'Jaganmohanane Krishna' also brings in the interpretative focus.

   Awards & Achievements
Nitisha Mondal has received National merit scholarship from CCRT. Also she is a recipient of merit scholarship from Kathak Kendra.
