   Biography
Born in a family of musical stalwarts and exponents of Hindustani classical vocal music, Subhasish Bhawal is one of the most promising artists in the field of Hindustani classical Vocal music. Growing up in an environment of music Subhasish's childhood witnessed the profound influence of music and he received his first music lessons in tabla from his father Shree Sunil Chandra Bhawal.
One among such endeavors is his Jugalbandi in Flute with Nilanjan Das. The duo have touched upon one of the rarest musical compositions of duet of Hindustani Vocal Music with Flute with the title 'Sayujwa'.

His intricate understanding of music and graceful style has made Subhasish a name recognized in the field of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music not only throughout the country but also abroad. One among such endeavors is his Jugalbandi in Flute with Nilanjan Das. ‘PESHKAR’ has blossomed into a fascinating traditional and ethenic music with a blend of contemporary styles and techniques. It is perhaps as it can be called so as the coming together of the rich and traditional forms of Indian music with unique of vocal music and instrumental music. Another very fascinating features of the group 'PESHKAR’' is the rear combination of the Tabla (Indian drum) and the Acoustic drum. It is very important to understand that each of these Drums have merged in one another's playing patterns and techniques which is a real rhythmic treat for the audiences. The use of the Sarangi, one of the rear strings instrument has added the perfect touch of melody to this musical extravaganza. The objective of 'PESHKAR' is to expand in all direction of flavours of Indian music stretching from the ancient Royal form of music to Folk music.
