   Career

Music Educator and Analyst

The project of grooming himself to the highest level of virtuosity on the sitar has enabled Vinayak to deconstruct the processes that go into the making of a master musician and to create various systematic templates that he is presently using to train a fresh crop of talent. A dedicated teacher, Vinayak believes in sharing his musical capital freely and acquiring fresh perspectives without inhibition. This new, rationalist approach to musical pedagogy is reflective of Vinayak’s educational and cultural background, which is significantly different from that of most professional musicians in India. A qualified architect, Vinayak obtained his professional degree from the Sir J J School of Architecture (Mumbai), and is also an avid photographer.
