   Biography
Pt. Milind Raikar is a renowned musician from Goa. He is an acknowledged Hindustani classical violinist of the present generation. He is known for his melodious & soulful style of playing the violin.

He is mainly the disciple of Violin Virtuoso Padmashri Pt. D. K. Datar (Gwalior Gharana) and Gaan Saraswati Kishori Amonkar (an erudite scholar & doyen of Jaipur Atrauli style of vocal music).

He performed for the first time as a singer at the tender age of five years. He began as a guitarist & a bongo player & later on completed the Grade IV in violin from the Trinity College of Music, London under the tutelage of Prof. A. P. Da Costa.

He has toured East African countries & Muscat along with the troupe of Indian Pop Star Remo Fernandes as the lead instrumentalist. He remained dedicated to Hindustani Classical Music, although he has learned & performed Western Classical Music.

His father Shri Atchut Raikar, a votary of the ancient Indian heritage of Classical Music, nurtured & encouraged him to dedicate himself to contribute in preserving & promoting the Indian heritage of Classical Music which is a treasure trove of Indian Culture since time immemorial.

   Career
He is the First musician to receive Fellowship from Civitella Ranieri, Italy. His recital was telecasted on RAI TV (Italy.) He is the First Indian Classical Violinist to perform in 'Bang On A Can'- New York , and the same concert was Broadcasted by New York Radio.

He has association with the NGO *Anam Prem * to perform for the pain relief of cancer patients in different states of India from Kashmir to Chennai & also perform for the differently abled & in Old Age homes as a service to mankind.

He has performed in Major Music Festivals in India as well as in USA, U.K, Germany, Switzerland, France, Dubai, Muscat , East African countries.

He has established 'RAIKAR ACADEMY OF VIOLIN' -'Pandit D.K.Datar Parampara.' in the year 2006, to propagate " Gayaki style of Playing of his Guru Datarji, where students of age 5 to 80 years come to learn Violin.

Ahmedabad, Mangalore, Dharwad, Sangli, Goa, and Mumbai. *Performed in the Gaanwardhan Pune. Performances Abroad: * First Indian Classical Violinist to perform in 'Bang On A Can'- New York, and the same concert was Broadcasted on New York Radio * Tonus Music Labor- Switzerland. * East and West Coast of USA .Places like, New Jersey, North Carolina, Washington, Providence, Virginia, Boston, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, New York, California. * Civtella Ranieri Center Peruggia Italy. * Performed in RAI T.V. Italy. He has provided music direction to a documentary film, "In Search Of Truth", in which he has played the role as a singer.
