   Biography
In the new generation of Kathak dancers, Dr. Swati Agarwal represents the future of this ancient classical dance form. Since the age of 6, Swati has been passionate about communicating through dance. Her unique dance style is a sincere result of her undying passion, self-motivation and dedication towards Kathak. Her refreshing approach to Kathak has won her many accolades and praise from dance lovers. Being a firm believer in maintaining the integrity of tradition, Swati explores her creativity without compromising on the originality of the dance form.

   Career
Approved artist of Doordarshan and recipient of Rajasthan Sangeet Natak AcademyYuva Puraskaar of the year 2002-2003 awarded by the chief Minister of Rajasthan. Scholarship winner of Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy. 
Performed in eight Oscar award winner director Bernardo-Birtt Luchis  film Little Buddha.
Swati is the co-founder of Agarwal Education,cultural and welfare society, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of Indian classical arts.  Every year, Swati organizes and co-curates the Nrityam Dance Festival on the occasion of world dance day, which presents some of the leading dance gurus in the Indian classical dance scene.  One of Swati's passions is supporting organizations that dedicate themselves to the protection and education of children in India.As a teacher, Swati laid the foundation of Kathak dance school “IIKDM” at Jaipur in the year 2004 where she is developing a new generation of dancers who are dedicated to Kathak.

Member of International organization of folk art IOV since 2010.Running Indian Institute of Kathak dance and music from last twelve years which is affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra.

Swati has directed many performances like Kathak Ras Varsha in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Academy, Kathak Utsav with Kathak Kendra,Delhi, Nrityam with JKK,Jaipur and many more. Swati has recently performed in Rajasthan’s largest dance festival “Kumbhalgarh Festival”

In addition to being an accomplished dancer, Swati is a gifted dance choreographer.
