Playback singer, music director,poet and author Ms Sanjeevani Bhelande is the first ever talent show winner in the history of Indian television, to have got a Bollywood playback opportunity. Film maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra gave Sanjeevani her first playback song in film Kareeb. Chori chori nazrein mili, ensconsced Sanjeevani's sweet-sensual voice in the minds of listeners.She won the best playback singer award for this song.
Several other hits followed like Churalo na dil mera sanam, Nikamma kiya, Makhmali yeh badan, Yara rub russ jane de for several music directors like A. R. Rehman, Himesh Reshamaiyya, Sandesh Shandilya, Anu Malik etc.
Sanjeevani is an ace live performer. Whether it a wedding sangeet, birthday, wedding anniversary or a charity fund raiser, Sanjeevani's charming on-stage presence and melliflous voice keep the audience spell-bound. She has performed over a 1000 live concerts world-wide. Her specialty is the classical based golden classics which she sings effortlessly. Blessed with a photographic memory Sanjeevani has her lyrics by heart and rarely needs to read from a book.Sanjeevani hails from a highly educated family of academicians. Her literary prowess and culturerd upbringing are evident when she comperes her shows all by herself with a touch of class.
The latest feather in Sanjeevani's cap is her book and album MEERA AND ME. She has 'songslated' 32 poems of Meerabai into English and has recorded a unique fusion album by the same name. Meerabai songs in a contemporary idiom. The book and cd were released by Shri Mahesh Bhatt and Shri Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Sanjeevani holds a Masters degree in Commerce, a diploma in Mass Communication and a degree in Hindustani music. She has got trained in pure Indian classical music with veteran guru Pandit Dinkar Kaikini. She also pursues Odissi dance with Smt Shubhda Varadkar a senior disciple of Mahaguru Kelucharan Mahapatra.
