This group formed by socially active group of female members from Bavdhan , Pune.The motive of this cultural program is to spread the culture of Mangalagauri across Maharashtra as well as India. Mangalagauri is an integral part of marathi culture. Mangalagauri games are normally performed on the each tuesday in the month of "Shrawan" every year.Also it can be performed on the auspisious occasions like Ganesh Festival, Navratri, Dohale Jewan, Haldi Kunku. There are fifty different games performed in it.
They perform the traditional Maharashtrian folk like fugadi - basfugadi , ekhatachi fugadi , fulpakharu, kamal etc , pinga, zimma , Fer , hatush pan bai , bhovar bhendi , lata bai lata, latya bai latya , Sasu suneche khel , hodi , tikhat mith masala, Ukhane etc with this group.
This versatile group also performs for Dohalejevan (baby shower) and barse (naming ceremony). They sing traditional songs that are blessings (ashirvad) for the child and the mother. They bless for good health, intelligence and prosperity of the child and the family.
