Born in 'Rageshree', Mumbai , which was truly a musical holy place where many legendary artists used to visit or perform. A home of my beloved grandfather Shri. G.N. Joshi, Often called as Dada) To name a few among those artists who use to visit our home were Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Halim Jaffer Khan, Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, Pt. C.R.Vyas, Pt.Bhimsen Joshi,Talat Mehmood, Manna Dey, K.L.Saigal etc. Music came as a graceful inheritance from the Grandfather, who was a great legendary musician and Pioneer of Marathi Lyrics, Shri. G. N. Joshi. Initial lessons of classical music and guidence took from the grandfather and truely the first Guru, Shri. G. N. Joshi for several years when in raw singing -young age.
Also had a guidance from the Senior Classical Vocalist of Gwalior and Kirana Gharana, Pt. Uttamrao Patil. A follower of Ustad Amir Khan and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. A Guru who gave me a vision to various musical forms of classical and semi-classical music such as Khyal, Thumri, Dadra, Tarana etc. Also Bhavgeet, Abhang (Devotional Marathi & Hindi Songs), Natya-sangeet ( Marathi Stage Music ) in semi-classical music.
