Jaya Jog is a noted classical Sitarist from Pune (India), and a disciple of reputed Sitarist Ustad Usman Khan of the Been-kaar Gharana, one of the oldest Sitar lineages in India.
Jaya Jog is recipient of Pushpalata Ranade award for Instrumental Music in 2005. She played as prime Instrumentalist in cultural exchange program organized by Friends of France (Pune) and Perspective Asians (Paris) in 2009.
Jaya Jog is actively involved in passing on the knowledge of her musical tradition by teaching students in India and abroad. Jaya also promotes the cause of music through group/solo performances for various reputed Trusts and Organizations, and by conducting workshops on Sitar.
She regularly performs in many reputed music festivals and concerts within the country as well as abroad. Her live performances have been well appreciated in Italy, France, Sri. Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the U.S.
