Biography

Apart From regular Bharatnatyam shows (could be solo, duet, group Ballets or performances), Bhushans' present/choreograph Contemporary & Fusion Dance presentations by Natyasri Badari Divya Bhushan & Dr.smt. Anjana Bhushan of Bhushans' Academy of performing Arts & Visual Presentation,Mysore.

“Bhushans Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation”established in the year 2005, in the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysore and Bangalore. Both Bhushan and Anjana head the academy. The academy’s main motto is to spread the art to the new generation and help the younger crowd develop a liking towards the divine Indian art and culture. in fact, they are the only couple dancers from Karnataka, who keep Bharatanatyam as base and produce many fabulous contemporary pieces for presentation. Academy productions are manifestations of thought provoking, mythological as well as contemporary themes, wherein each piece is a vibrant scintillating presentation filled with energy and symmetry.

Their contemporary productions involve a beautiful blend of Yoga, kalari, salsa,russian ballet and Bharatanatyam in true co-ordinace. The academy’s proud students have graduated themselves from being stark beginners to able performers under the guidance of their eminent gurus, Sri. Badari Divya Bhushan and Smt. Anjana Bhushan.

Colors of krishna- 10mins, 10-25 artists A contemporary piece on Krishna 's pranks, talks about colors .based on the famous Kurai Ondrum illai, Composed by stephen devsay sung by Saindhavi and Gayathri-choreographed by Bhushans’

Mahaganapathim -12mins 5-25 artists. A Beautiful concept dance based on the various facets of lord Ganesha, perched on top of an elephant. The majestic, graceful, Ganapathy is unveiled behind a curtain…making the ambience truly divine! The procession of lord Ganesha in Maharashtra is depicted with all its gait and glory! music by Amit heri & Shankar Mahadevan.

A presentation based on the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, to the tunes of the Astalakshmi Stotram, with Fusion Music composed by Stephen devasay where in the dancers depict the eight different forms of Lakshmi, Aadilakshmi, Dhanalakshmi, Vidyalakshmi, Santanalakshmi, Dhaanyalakshmi, Vijayalakshmi, Gajalakshmi and Dhairyalakshmi. -choreography by Bhushans'

Lingastakam- -7mins 5 -25 artists Avibrant piece choreographed On the basis of Russian ballet steps and Yoga, Music by stephen devasay, choreography by Bhushans'

There are a total of 25 beautiful pieces in the repertoire. The performances can be from 5 mins to 1 & Half hrs depending on the requirement. So we choose the productions depending on the audience age group,capacity of the event etc.

This is about Sri Badari Divya Bhushan & Dr.Smt Anjana Bhushan, an accomplished ,well groomed Young Bharatanatyam dance artist couple from INDIA, trained under stalwarts like Vyjayanthimala Bali.

Bhushan is the grand son of the great film star Sri Kalyan Kumar! (Kannada & tamil)

(Bhushan is known more as KRISHNA, as he has essayed this character more than 600 times with many dancers & Film stars)

They are traditional classical dancers , trained in Bhartanatyam, yoga kalaripayyatu & contemporary dances. They have performed at several national and International festivals live as well as recorded at various prestigious festivals and sabhas as well as for foreign groups , colleges , universities, and corporate sectors.They are known for their crisp Nritta, Profound abhinaya and elegant stage presence.

They present solo, duet, as well as group choreography.They have conducted many workshops and lectures on various aspects of Indian culture and dance forms.They have Judged many competitions, and have been Examiners for Vidwath Board exams conducted by Karnataka secondary education board since last 8 yrs. They have taught over 8000 students so far .They are also one of the committee members for the prestigious Mysore Dasara mahotsav.

They also have the credit of organizing 8 National dance festivals at Mysore through t the year since 2005, creating platforms and encouraging young upcoming talent in the field of dance!!!

They are sought after Gurus' & performers.

They present different thought provoking classical/contemporary dance themes in front of the august audience,with lecture demonstrations. They have conducted many workshops, and choreographed for many dancers, actors, stars and corporates.
