Ajay has trained in Odissi and Kathak under guru-shishya parampara from smt. Parwati Dutta in Mahagami. After thirteen years of rigorous training Ajay’s dance reflects not only what he learnt and imbibed from his guru but also the determination and power of his own persona. Dedication and hard work has helped him in understanding the art forms. Realizing his intensity, potentials in the dance he has been appreciated by great gurus and maestro. He is presently taking guidance from smt. Roshan Datey (Guru, Researcher and scholar). Ajay also feels grateful for the valuable guidance received from Pt. Birju Maharaj in workshops, from time to time in the finer aspects of kathak.
