Guinness Kalamandalam Hemalatha is known as the dancing queen of Kerala. Graduated from Kerala Kalamandalam after four years of rigorous training in Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi and Folk dances, Guinness Kalamandalam Hemelatha mastered the art of dancing. She took her graduation in BFA Bharathanatyam from Bharathidasan University, Trichy and also took her post graduation in the same from Indira Kala Viswa Vidyalaya. She won the Balakrishna Kurupu Award at the very beginning of her carrier. She learnt the various forms of dances under the eminent guidance of great Gurus of Kalamandalam where the Gurukula System of imparting education was followed. In addition to classical dance she also learnt classical music and is still continuing her lessons in it.
Kalamandalam Hemalatha brought laurels to the Kalamandalam by her splendid performances in and outside India at several places and also to the temple arts of Kerala- Bharathanatyam, Kuchupudi, Mohiniyattam, etc. She has represented the central zone on behalf of the Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy in all India Classical dance competition held in Thrissur and represented south zone at Imphal. She possesses an experience of 20 years in the field of classical and folk dance.
