Vijay Pathak gifted with melodious voice, is an artist with versatile talents. He is a Singer, Poet and Composer of Urdu, Hindi & Gujarati Songs and Ghazals. He has also produced and presented various composite musical programmes over All India Radio during his collegiate period. Vijay is lucky enough to get trained in Classical Vocal Music by his Revered Gurus Pandit Shree Balkrishna Nayak (Meera Kala Kendra, Udaipur) and Shree Madhusudan Joshi (popularly known as Rao Saheb Joshi) eminent Classical Vocalist of Agra Gharana from Baroda.
Vijay has received first prize in recent years in Gujarati Sugam Sangeet competition held under the name 'Choice Gel Surili Saragam' for Ahmedabad Doordarshan. He has performed aptly as Anchor Person in 'Swarmadhuri', a musical tele-serial telecast on 'Deep TV', a local TV Channel.
Vijay's programes of Urdu Ghazals & Sugam Sangeet are organized on suitable occasions under the auspices of esteemed organizations like IOCL, GSFC, ONGC, Reliance Group, Bharat Petroleum Corpn. Ltd., SBI, E.I. Dupont India Ltd., Crompton Greaves Ltd., Safari India Ltd., Novino Batteries, Balmer Lawrie & Co., Shaily Engg. Vijay has taken formal training in Urdu Language & Literature and has been cultivating a unique style (Andaz-e-bayaan) of his own; a beautiful blend of Ghazal gayaki with interactive style and spontaneous presentation. He has created acceptance among the class of connoisseurs of Ghazals and listeners at large. In Ghazal Singing, Vijay's ideals are the Legends like Begum Akhtar, Purshottam Upadhyay, Jagjit Singh, Mehdi Hassan and Ghulam Ali.
Vijay has concentrated his talent and efforts to attain the summit of Ghazal Singing and he will one day.
