Sankhya Dance Creation founded by Vaibhav Arekar, its artistic director, is a professional dance company which has showcased its works on national and international platforms.
Vaibhav is indebted to have collaborated with some highly gifted artistes. He has been fortunate to have, simultaneously trained and collaborated with Rajashree Shirke and Chetan Datar.
YATRA: International Dance Day Festival-Vaibhav has co-founded in 2002 an annual national dance festival- YATRA which is a genuine effort to bring together various dance styles, voices, visions of innovative choreographers to celebrate the eternal relation between the artiste and the art.
Vaibhav has been instrumental in designing the Diploma courses in Kathak and Bharatanatyam (affiliated to Department of Continuing and Adult Education and Extension Work, SNDT Women’s University) at Lasya Centre for Dance Education and Research, a leading dance institute of Mumbai, founded by Rajashree Shirke.
Vaibhav, apart from conducting the Bharatanatyam course at Lasya, also imparts dance training to aspiring youngsters and professional dancers at various centers in Thane, Kandivli/Borivali and Vakola.
