An avid storyteller
through her dance form ‘ kathak’, Pallavi Parag Mhaiskar is a true believer of every word of it. She loves to paint stories through her dance
performances.
A sincere student since
childhood, Pallavi started to learn kathak
at the tender age of 10 under the
guidance of Guru Sau Medha Kolhatkar
and she continued with her love for
this dance form even after her marriage in the year 1998 and became Nritya Visharad (2003) & Nritya
Alankar(2010) under the able
guidance of her eminent Guru Dr. Sau Manjiri
Deo.
Even before she could make
up her mind of which career to choose, one thing was clear to her – ‘that of
expressing joy and spreading happiness in
whatever she does’ , and the best
way to do so was this art form kathak. Since then she is happily doing so, and
her welcoming smile says it all.
Her students proudly say
that “ Pallavitai performs the abhinay anga of kathak with
such a ease and remarkable fluidity that
its always delight to watch her perform ”.
Pallavi, was set forth on the Front Page of the "Vishakha magazine" in 1996. A multifaceted personality, donning various hats of an
anchor, singer and a true performer she started Nrutyangan in the year 2002.
With the blessings of Guru Dr. Sau Manjiri Deo, Support by teachers - Shraddha Joshi and Vaishali Deshpande, efforts of students, trust of parents, Pallavi is driving Nrutyangan to great heights with her devotion. She also imbibes basic qualities of punctuality, show must go on attitude, stage appearance, Carrying oneself with make up, public speaking which helps in performing on stage.
Pallavi nurtures 'Basic Human Values' among students as she always says a Kalakar has to be a 'Good Human Being first'.
