Rajashree
Pathak has melodious, bold & elastic voice trained under the able guidance
of Late Smt. Shobha Gurtu & Late Smt. Sarala Bhide. Currently she is under
the tutelage of Pandit Shankarrao Abhyankar.
lt has been
recognized by critics that she has attracted the attention of connoisseurs with
her performances. Her voice has lot of natural emotion & can flow with the
mood of the songs. She deftly moves from one raga sequence to another while
singing a Thumri number.
She has
performed at various prestigious music festivals in India & abroad. Rajashree
Pathak has sung in Ketan Mehta's film 'Rang Rasiya'. She has sung and acted
in a docu-film made by Anjali Kirtane on late Pandit D. V. Paluskarji. She has
studied 'Kumaoni Hori' by visiting & participating in those festivities in
Kumaon region (Uttaranchal). She presents this experience through a thematic
program ‘Kumaon Hori ke Rang'. She also presents other thematic programs like
‘Ashtanayika', ‘Baramasa', etc.
