Pandit Revanasiddayya Hiremath (born 1 June 1975) is a distinguished Hindustani vocalist, composer, writer, and cultural organizer from Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Belonging to the Panchakshara Gharane tradition, he is best known for his devotional singing and versatile performances in Hindustani classical, Janapada, and nature-inspired compositions.
He received 12 years of rigorous Gurukul training at the Ganayogi Sahitya Sangeet Gurukul under the guidance of Padma Bhushan Dr. Pandit Puttaraja Gawai, where he not only mastered Hindustani music but also gained deep insights into literature, drama, mythology, and discourse. His devotion to the Guru-Shishya tradition reflects in his music, literature, and teaching.
In 2003, he founded the Gaanyogi Dr. Pandit Puttaraja Kavi Gawaigalavara Seva Sangha, which organizes annual cultural celebrations, especially the Puttaraja Gawai Jayanti, and honors eminent personalities with titles such as Vishvagana Ubhaya Ratna, Sangita Sahitya Poshako Ratna, and others.
As a writer, Hiremath has authored books like Sri Guru Vachanamruta, Book of Modern Verses, Puttaraja Guru’s Devotional Songs, and Shiva Sharanara Geeta, alongside writing over 100 poems and modern verses. His works are widely appreciated for their devotional depth and literary merit.
