Dr. Chetna Pathak is an accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist and a dedicated torchbearer of the Kirana Gharana. She has been a disciple of the internationally renowned Padma Vibhushan awardee, Hon’ble Dr. Prabha Atre, since 1999. Under her revered guru’s guidance, Chetna has mastered Classical Music and Light Classical genres, including Thumri, Dadra, and Tappa.
Born into a traditional musician’s family in Udaipur, Chetna was initiated into music at the tender age of eight by her mother, Smt. Madana, and father, Shri Ramnarayan Ji. With her innate talent and dedication, she has carved a niche for herself as a gifted vocalist, renowned for her mellifluous voice and expressive style. Her learning journey also includes training in Tappa Gaayaki under the guidance of Pt. Bala Saheb Poonchwale, a celebrated maestro of the Gwalior Gharana.
Chetna has performed extensively at major music festivals across India, enthralling audiences with her soul-stirring renditions. In addition to her performances, she has conducted workshops, delivered lecture demonstrations (lec-dems), and shared her knowledge with aspiring musicians across the country.
Dr. Chetna Pathak is an empaneled artist on the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) reference panel and holds the prestigious title of ‘A’ grade artist from All India Radio (AIR) in both Classical Vocal and Light Classical Vocal categories. Her unwavering commitment to music and her exceptional artistry continue to inspire and resonate with audiences worldwide.
