Musical Journey and Training:
Early Training:
- Began formal music training at Saraswati Sangeet Niketan in New Delhi for one year, developing a foundational understanding of classical music.
Advanced Training:
- Studied under Dr. Shyam Mehta of the Agra Gharana for one year, where he learned the nuances of this traditional style.
- Received further training from Shri Yogesh Deshmukh (senior disciple of Pt. Yashwantbuva Joshi) in Thane for two years, focusing on intricate compositions and raga development.
- Trained extensively under Dr. Ram Deshpande, mastering the Gwalior, Agra, and Jaipur Gharanas for three years, and gaining a diverse understanding of these classical styles.
- Continued learning under Shri Hrishikesh Gangurde, a senior disciple of Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar at ITC-SRA, Kolkata, deepening his expertise in the Gwalior Gharana.
- For nine years, he was under the tutelage of Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh, a senior disciple of Pt. Kumar Gandharva, where he developed a unique approach to classical music inspired by the legacy of Kumar Gandharva.
Online and Offline Teaching:
- Milap has been actively teaching Hindustani Classical Music both online and offline, sharing his knowledge and nurturing new talent. His teaching style focuses on imparting traditional techniques while encouraging students to explore their unique expressions.
