Biography

Smt. Kashmira Trivedi is generous, inventive, dedicated performer, Choreographer, teacher in the field of Bharatnatyam dance.

She believes that knowledge should be shared and transferred to the future generation. Thus, she has been teaching dance in Thane from past 30 years under her own institute “takshashila nrityakala mandir”. In this institution student are given training of Bharatnatyam in friendly environment and with indoor/outdoor seminars, lecture etc.

She is Mumbai Doordarshan Graded artist.

Career

Experimenting with Bharatanatyam while retaining its ancient culture and standard norms; is her passion. It encouraged her to choreograph various dance items and dance ballets in different languages from various states of India. She has choreographed annual functions of various schools and colleges. Being a socially responsible citizen, she voluntarily choreographed functions at Jidd School, Thane (24th Feb 2011) for specially challenged students. She is a coordinator for Sanskruti Arts Festival, Classical Dance Form Mudra Stage.

Awards & Achievements

With God's grace and her Guru's blessings, she reached at the first milestone of her dance career i.e. organizing “Tarang Utsav”. It is a festival which explores hidden talent of students and gives platform for upcoming artists and honored them with title “Tarang Padama”. "Tarang Ratna" for an experienced artist who are shining like diamonds with their years of experience in field of classical arts.

“Tarang Utsav” was immediately followed by another piece of artistic work i.e. “Tri -Bhangima”. It is herself visualized concept to offer delight of three classical dance styles-Bharatnatyam, Odissi & Kathak on the same platform. These styles were woven together to form a pleasant experience for audience.
