Biography

Namrata Mahabal is a young promising Hindustani Classical Vocalist . She hails from Pune. She is a postgraduate in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune and has been awarded ‘Gold Medal’ from Savitribai Phule Pune University at the M.A (Music) examination for the Year 2014. She is also a recipient of ‘ Scholarship to Young Artistes’ awarded by Ministry of Culture, Government of India for the year 2014-2016. She holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce as well.

Career

Namrata Mahabal is a young promising Hindustani Classical Vocalist . She hails from Pune, India and is currently under the tutelage of Mrs.Ruchira Kedar. As a child Namrata showed strong inclination towards Music and her training began since then. She is a postgraduate in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune and has been awarded ‘Gold Medal’ from Savitribai Phule Pune University at the M.A (Music) examination for the Year 2014. She is also a recipient of ‘ Scholarship to Young Artistes’ awarded by Ministry of Culture, Government of India for the year 2014-2016. She holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce as well. She has been gifted with a melodious voice which the listeners have found to be very appealing and have appreciated her good command over rhythm. She is a regular performer in Private Mehfils. She has been imparting training to many a students.

Namrata Mahabal presents Classical solo recital. It starts with raga, Khyal, bandish, end end with abhang or bhairavi geet.

Namrata Mahabal presents Theam based program

Namrata Mahabal with minimum 2 musicians performs theam based program. She performs in small gatherings to sangeet mahotsav. If required additional musicians and singers can be added to perform verity of songs like duets and group songs. She performs classical, semicalssical, natyasangeet, sugamsangeet, bhajans etc. She had already performed on babuji's songs as well as songs on gandhiji etc.

Awards & Achievements

Sangeet Visharad Diploma in Natyasangeet Playback singing for a short film Composed Sanskrit Shlokas and Bodhi Bhajans.
