Biography
Alok is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. He did his schooling from Cambrian Hall, Dehradun and Colvin Taluqdars' College, Lucknow. During his student days, he was fond of swimming, music and dramatics. Even while working in Mumbai and Kolkatta, he found time to act in a couple of plays. Though professionally connected with various types of machines and equipment, since 1983, Alok kept penning his musings which he informally read and shared with his family and some of his close friends. In 2010, a set of Hindi poems written by Alok was published by Tata McGraw-Hill as a book titled 'Abhinav Anubhav'. Later in 2016 another collection of Hindi Poems penned by Alok were published by Cyberwit in a Book Titled Arzee Hai. Blessed with a good sense of humour and wit, Alok conveys deep philosophical thoughts using simple words with ease. Having been a Guest Faculty at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, Alok is presently a Director in the Jaypee Group of Companies.
