Mayavaram t.viswanathan has been playing for Vocal and Dance concerts since 1993. His first concert was with the renowned Dance couple The Dhananjayans– V.P. Dhananjayan and Shantha Dhananjayan.
1996 HIS FIRST ABBROAD TRIP TO SRILANKA WITH SRIKALABHARATH DISIPLE OF KALAIMAMANI K.J.SARASA
During the years 1997-1999 Viswanthathan played for Raghunath Manet in France. He also got the unique opportunity to play in accompaniment to Jazz music with French Musicians. It was one of the great performances in West Indies with Caribbean Drummers.
In 1998, Viswanathan accompanied Padmasri Shobhana - the famous danseuse and Cine actress to Muscat. In 1999, he played for Kalaimamani Meenakshi Chitharangan in Germany , Switzerland.
Viswanthan has also played for Nrithyachoodamani Priyadarshini Govind both in India and abroad. In 2003, 2004, he had the opportunity to play for Switzerland dance Institution [CHANDRAWADHANI VIJAYASUNDHARAM]. He toured with Mr. Babu Parmeswaran in the U.S.A to work with various Dance Institutions.
During the years 2005&2006, he played for lot of dancers from the famous school of Sarasalaya . He has also played in accompaniment to the Travancore princess Gopika Varma at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
