Madhuri Dandage
   Biography

Madhuri Dandage is a rare artist who is able to combine the magic of her powerful and melodious voice with a unique ability to teach students of varying calibers. Her emphasis is on understanding the mood and words of the music and then bringing that impactfully out through the medium of Hindustani Classical based vocal music.  She is much appreciated for her no-nonsense and yet caring style of individualized teaching.

Madhuri Dandage has been teaching Hindustani Classical vocal music for over 30 years to students from various backgrounds and having differing learning needs.

She has been teaching music to students doing their Masters in Music from various universities. This means being able to bring about a synthesis between the theory of music and the art of rendering the understanding through an actual performance. This style of teaching makes it very meaningful to the students who actually experience the strong linkages between theory and practice. Some of her students have been toppers in their respective universities. Given her wide experience Madhuri also teaches students who wish to learn music form the point of view of getting into radio or improve their performing grade. Being herself a long-time artist she is able to guide the students in the nuances of the system.

Recently Madhuri has commenced online tuitions in keeping with latest trends to address the needs of students overseas and at distant locations in India.
