Swapnil Verma

Dr. Swapnil Verma is a Thumri Singer presently learning Purab Ang Gayaki from World famous Thumri singer Vidushi Savita Devi and engaged in preservation and promotion of Indian musical heritage i.e Thumri Singing that she has inherited from her Guru. She is also a Design Professional having Doctorate in Textile Design and working as Consultant to Govt. of India in Handloom Sector.   Her initial music education had been under Smt. Poonam Saxena - eminent vocalist of Gwalior Gharana. Thereafter she learnt Purab Ang Gayaki from Pt. Brijbhushanji of Banaras Gharana , Keyboard from Smt. Nalini Sukh - Sr. AIR artist and Sound Engineering & Music Composition from Shri K. P Tanu – son of legendary film orchestrean Late Shri Hazara Singh and associate of Shri Rajesh Roshan -  the music director.   She has been performing at number of Sangeet Samaroh organized by the States and private music organizations since last 15 years. She has composed music for five short and animation films exhibited internationally. She is included in the panel of Judges of various music organizations. She is also an AIR (All India Radio) as well as Television Artist.

1. Participated in Television Program ‘ Jashn – e – Begum Akhtar ‘ aired on DD Urdu and DD Bharti Channel.

2. Performed for All India Radio, Delhi.

3. Performed Purab Ang Gayaki – Dadra, Kajri, Hori & Jhoola at various prestigious venues in Delhi such as India Habitat Centre , Epicenter Gurgaon, Ficci Auditorium etc for various musical organizations  such as SAM (Society for Action through Music) New Delhi and Siddheshwari Devi Memorial Trust, Gurgaon.

4. Performed for SPICMACAY in New Delhi alongwith Vidushi Savita Deviji.

5. Performed at Hindon Mahaotsav, Ghaziabad in 2011

6. Performed at number of Sangeet Samaroh and Bhajan Sandhyas organized by the States and private music organizations. 

7. Performed Purab Ang Gayaki  and Bhajans in 2014 at Nagpur (Maharashtra) for Chinmaya Mission.

8. Composed background music and songs for 8 Animation Films made by M/s Sukrity Animation Studio , DLF Public School etc .
