Biography

Nari. Uday Kumar has taken initial training under his grandfather Sri.V.C.Williams (A.I.R. staff artist) at the tender age of four at Vijayawada. Since 1992 he was taking his rigorous training under guru 'USTAD SHABBIR NISAR' , son of well known great maestro 'TABLA NAWAZ USTAD SHAIK DAWOOD SAHEB', Hyderabad as per 'Guru Shishya Parampara'.

Accompanied with following eminent artists such as Kathak Exponent 'PadmaVibhushan Pt.Birju Maharaj ji' in the year 2012, Sitar Exponent 'Ustad Shahid Parvez', Ghazal exponent 'Ustad Aslam Khan' , Ustad Roshan Ali Khan (Sarangi), Smt. Malini Rajurkar (Vocal), Smt Meeta Pandit (Vocal), etc. He is also giving Solo Performances and Group Performances.

Accompanied with following eminent artists such as ; Kathak Exponent 'PadmaVibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj ji' in the year 2012, Sitar Exponent 'Usatd Shahid Parvez', Ghazal exponent 'Ustad Aslam Khan' , Usatd Roshan Ali Khan (Sarangi), Smt. Malini Rajurkar (Vocal), Smt Meeta Pandit (Voacl), ect.

Solo Performance :

• Performed Tabla Solo in 'South Central Zone Cultural Centre', in the occasions of 'Sadhan Mahotsava Scholars Festival' 2004 and 'Yuva Nritya Mahotsava' 2009.

• 'Tabla Nawaz Ustad Shaik Dawood Academy' in the occasion of 'Sur Taal Festival' held in Delhi in the year 1996. and 'Tabla Nawaz Ustad Shaik Dawood Trust' in the year 2012.

• Cultural Festival held in Sholapur ,Maharashtra. 2008.

• ITC ,Sangeet Research Academy ,Kolkata.2006.

Group Performance :

• Selected From Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR),Cultural Department of India, New Delhi and Toured South East Asia with Kathak Troupes in the year 2003.

• Performed with 'Aradhna Band' from USA for the India Tour in the year 2012
