   Biography
Meenakshi Medhi, a dedicated and committed Sattriya dancer, was born in 1991 in Guwahati. 

Blessed with natural flair for the art, and relentless single-minded devotion, Meenakshi has developed into her present status as an elite performing artist. 

Meenakshi is also running an institute 'SATKARA' (Sattriya Nrityar Prakhishan Kendra) and is the Founder President of an Socio-Cultural Organisation 'SATKARA' (A Society for Propagating Sattriya Culture). Meenakshi  has  earned  kudos  and  accolades  by  performing  in  various  states  including  her home-state, Assam.

   Career
Meenakshi had the opportunity to perform Sattriya  dance  on  World Dance  Day  2010 organized  by Shristi  centre  of  Performing  Arts   at  Bangalore.  She  also performed  during  the  Rongali  Bihu  Festival 2010  organized  by  the Assam  Association, Mumbai. In  the  year  2011, Meenakshi's  performance  was  highly  applauded  and  appreciated  in  the  Indradhanush  Festival  of  Indian  Classical  dance  organized  by SUNAINA  in  association  with  ICCR  and  Ministry  of  Culture held at New Delhi, Baliyatra Mahotsava 2011 organized by Govt. of Odisha at Cuttack, Indian Theater Olympiad at Cuttack , during the website launch ceremony of Srimanta Sankardeva by Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva in 2012 at Guwahati, Nrithyabharathi festival 2012 held at Airforce station, Thanjavur, 12th Nritya Parva (An Annual festival of Sattriya Dance) organized by Sattriya Kendra of Sangeet Natak Akademi held at Guwahati, Samannay Sanskritik Samaroh 2013 held at Uttar Kamalabari Sattra in Majuli Island, Assam, 56th Sai Nrityotsav, 2013 at Bangalore, Nagaon Friendship Day, 2014 at Nagaon, Assam, 'Shraddharghya'- A Tribute to Nrityaratna Dr. Jagannath Mahanta at Guwahati, Closing Ceremony of Workshop on Sattriya Dance held at Siliguri organized by Sattriya Kendra, North East Centre of Sangeet Natak Akademi, 2014,  to name a few.

Meenakshi Medhi presents Sattriya dance. Meenakshi had the opportunity to perform Sattriya dance on World Dance Day 2010 organized by Shristi centre of Performing Arts at Bangalore.
