Biography
Santosh Agnihotri is a versatile artist, born and brought up in Gwalior. He started learning music at the early age of lO years from his father shri Ramchandra Rao Agnihotri who is artist of Gwalior gharana. santosh started with vocal and Sitar . He had a composer mind by birth. Santosh composes any poetry within few seconds. He has composed and recorded 100s of songs for Akashvani and Doordarshan. Previously santosh started Harmonium accompaniment with classical vocal music and performed with many senior artists like Pt.Bala sahibyoonchwak, Pt.V.R.Athavle, K.G.Ginde, Pt.Madhav Umdekar, Reeta Ganguli, Arun Kashalkar, etc. In Akashvani and for different musical concerts and festivals, In 2001 Santosh turned himself into light music vocalist under the guidance of Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain. He is blessed by Ghazal Maestro Jagjeet Singhji. Now Santosh Agnihotri has devoted himself to Light Classical Vocal music. Pt. Ajay Pohankar and Pt.Channulal Mishra is idol for him. Santosh sings thumri, Dadra full of feelings and amazing variations of Raagas. Now a days Santosh is living in Indore and working in Akashvani, Indore.
