Pranati Goturi

Kuchipudi dancer

Pranati Goturi
   Biography
Dance is a divine form through which one spiritually connects to the cosmic power and feels at peace. God creates every human being with a specific purpose. If only one realizes his area of interest at an early age, the journey becomes easy. 15 year old Pranati realised her passion for dance at a tender age of 4. She was attracted to fine arts just like bees are attracted to dahlia stalks. She began her journey in fine arts at 'Pallavi Academy' of Fine Arts. Pranati learnt dance on par with regular education. It is very close and holy to her. Her mother, Smt. Sumitra is an Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies currently working with Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty, Dept of Rural Development, Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

Pranati considers herself to be lucky and blessed to have Gurus who have, at every stage guided and improved her to be a better dancer and a better person. She began learning dance under ‘Natya Shree’ Smt. P.B. Krishna Bharati who was trained under exponents like Sri. Vedantam Prahalada Sharma and Smt. Dr. Shobha Naidu. For more perfection as a dancer Pranati is learning dance with Sri. Vedantam Satya Narasimha Sastry. He hails from one of the traditional families of Kuchipudi, the Vedantam Family. Known for his ace compositions, Pranati’s guru also masters playing the Mridangam. Currently, Pranati is learning the deeper aspects of Kuchipudi and the Indian Culture. Pranati is ever indebted to her Gurus for the impact they have had on her.

Pranati aims to achieve milestones in her beloved art form and bring laurels to her mother and her Guru. She has always been taught to devotedly dance on stage and uplift the name of Kuchipudi more than her personal success. And that is what she aspires of doing – take the name of Kuchipudi to unseen heights in the reach of her capabilities.
