   Biography
Viraja Mandhre and Shyamjith Kiran together completed their post graduation in Bharatanatyam under the shade of the great banyan of the illustrious Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai in the year 2009. Both have an outstanding record at Kalakshetra, where they excelled in their diploma and post diplima courses. During their course of study and even later they were blessed to be a part of the prestigious Kalakshetra reportory company aand work with eminent performers and gurus in the field, taking up major roles and travelling across the globe with the troupe.

   Career
Viraja Mandhre and Shyamjith Kiran are a young dynamic dancer duo in the field of Bharatnatyam today.They have been a part of both Bharatnatyam & Kathakali peformances of the dance company. They have also had the worthy opportunity of teaching part time at their alma master. Both Viraja and Shyamjith are empanelled artists with the ICCR. 

Shyamjith has played major roles such as that of Rama in Smt. Rukmini Devi's Ramayana series and Krishna in 'Dasaru Kanda Krishna' a dance drama choreographed by Smt. Leela Samson. Viraja has played Sita & Kaikayi in the Ramayana series and has been a part of Smt. Leela Samson's choreography 'Spanda'. She has also won acclaims for her role of 'Psyche' in Sadanam Balkrishnan, Ashan's Kathakali dance drama. With the troupe they have performed at various prestigious venues in India as well as abroad.

   Programs

'Mudivil Oru Aarambam' by Viraja Mandhre & Shyamjith Kiran

Tamil dance drama based on the present scenario of dancers-Choreography by Shaymjith Kiran. This production examines the aspirations of young dancers, their dreams & their respective confrontations with the reality of modern consumerist suicide. The script is written by renowed Tamil scholar Prof. Dr. S. Raghuraman.
   Awards & Achievements
Viraja has received the award of the best outgoing student for the batch of 2003-07. She has also won acclaims for her role of 'Psyche' in Sadanam Balkrishnan, Ashan's Kathakali dance drama.
