Radhika Phanse

Radhika is an accomplished Kathak performer with over 100 solo and group choreography shows to her credit. A devoted classical dance follower, she has explored new avenues by blending Kathak with contemporary styles and semi-classical music. Her innovative works include performances like "Gagan Sadan Tejomay Tejonidhi Loh Gol," "Vasant Ritu Aala," and selected songs from "Geet Ramayana." Radhika's unique technique of Navras showcases nine sentiments, traditionally depicted through mythological stories but reinterpreted by her in contemporary Kathak. She continues to perform at various events and art festivals across India, while also offering online and offline classes.

Key Highlights:

1. Invited by Prestigious Institutions: Performed at RANG SWAR (Chavan Centre, Mumbai), KALABHARTI (Karnatak Sangh), and NCPA (2007). Featured in ICCR's HORIZON series (2009).
2. Innovative Choreography: Choreographed and performed shlokas from the Bhagwat Geeta for an Indo-German company, blending drama sequences with dance.
3. Maharashtrachi Lokdhara: Created for TATA Cancer Hospital's International conference in Mumbai.
4. Notable Roles: Played VEERANGADA, embodying the VEER RASA in the ballet "PRAKRITI."
5. Collaborations: Performed in ballets with renowned Kathak exponent Smt. Archana Joglekar-Muley and participated in Vasantostav organized by Kalashram, New Delhi.
6. Philanthropy: Conducted fundraising programs for organizations like DAARAC (Dr. Yusuf Merchant, Kalyan) and Little Flower High School, Thane.

• Founder and Director of Navras Art Academy - Dadar West since 1997. 
• Radhika has since then trained  a large number of children in the Kathak dance form including some deaf and mute students. 
• One of the panel judges of  Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and has judged competition on television channels, schools and colleges.
• An impaneled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations – ICCR.
