Sujit Kale

Sujit Kale, born 1985, inherited the rich musical tradition from Late. Pt. Bhanudas Pawar .  He Started taking his early Tabla lessons at an age of six from Pt. Bhanudas Pawar.  Later on he took a systematic and extensive training from Shri. Nitin Bhanudas Pawar, for more than ten years. He has been also taking advanced training from Taal-Yogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar,one of the greatest Tabla exponents  of the Present times.

Currently, he is working as a Tabla Accompanist in K.K.Wagh College of Performing Arts,Nashik and also as a visiting Tabla Instructor at Rasbihari International School,Nashik

Sujit has performed through numerous concerts including Solo Performances,as an accompanist to Classical Vocal Music, Instrumental Music and Kathak Dance.

Sujit has been rewarded by the prestigious National Scholarship for young artists given by the Cultural Ministry of Central Government of India (2009).

Further, he has been honoured by the Yuva Puraskar given in the memory of Late. U. Allah Rakha (2010) at Nashik.

Sujit has accompanied Dr.Alka Dev-Marulkar,Pt.Ajay Pohankar,Pt.Upendra Bhat, Pt.Suhasini Koratkar,Manjiri Asanare-Kelkar, Late.Pt.Bireshwar Gautam,Shri. Subhash Dasakkar and many reputed artists.

Some of his performances were appreciated by Pt.Ravishankar, Pt.Bhai Gaitonde,  Pt.Birju Maharaj, U.Amjad Ali Khan, Pt. Rajan & Pt. Sajan Mishra,Pt.Arvind Mulgaonkar, Pt.Nayan Ghosh , Pt.Shama Bhate
