   Biography
Nasir Khan is a sarangi player. He is working as sarangi teacher in New Delhi. He gives sarangi solo performance and also performs as accompanist. Presently, he is associated as one of the senior staff artist with National Institute of Kathak Kendra in New Delhi for more than a decade.

   Career

Hailing from the family of traditional musicians, Nasir Khan is son of the renowned tabla player Ustad Yaseen Khan. He was introduced to the world of the Indian Classical music early in his childhood.

Nasir Khan has participated in many International Festivals including U.K., Switzerland, Netherlands, Malaysia, Muscat, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Nepal.

He has participated in many national festivals like Khajuraho, Rose Festival. Nasir has also given his lecture demonstration at Bangalore festival and has been regularly performing in the festivals of Spicmacay. He has performed for Prime minister and King of Malaysia.

Besides a soloist, Nasir Khan has accompanied most of the eminent Hindustani Classical vocalists, instrumentalists and classical dancers of India including – Sarangi Maestro Ust. Sabri Khan, Tabla Maestro Ust. Rashid Mustafa ‘Thirakwa’ Kathak Maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj, Late Pt. Durga Lal, Padamshree Uma Sharma, Pratap Pawaar, Pt. Rajindra Gangani, Rani Khanam, Shabhna Narain, Geetanjli Lal, Saswati Sen, Renowned Ghazal Singer Jagjeet Singh, Shanti Hiranand, Ust. Moinuddin Khan, Rita Ganguli, Sumitra Guha, Uma Garg & Debashish Roy.

Presently, he is associated as one of the senior staff artist with National Institute of Kathak Kendra in New Delhi for more than a decade.
